Individuals hear it all the time from their upline or company websites: Each one you meet is a potential recruit.

WRONG!

Here are some people who should NOT start a network marketing home business:

• Friends and family

• Someone with no job AND no money

• Someone who doesn't like to speak or act together with people, a loner who prefers to be alone

• An inexperienced marketer who needs a lot of money FAST due to debts or other reasons

I can really hear the rumblings in the far corners of Network Marketing companies throughout the kingdom!

What did you say? Do you mean not everyone can achieve their dreams?

I didn't say that. Of course, anybody can and should pursue their dreams and aspirations.

But not everyone ought to be a Network Marketer.

Personally I have had many people wanting to join our business opportunities with no job. That in itself is tolerable, but when these same people then tell us that they have no money to start the business, and no money to put into marketing, and (oh, by the way) they need to make money right away because their creditors need their money, I'm sorry!

These people should not be starting a network marketing home business.

People in these types of situations need to get a JOB first, get their creditors or whoever else off your back, save a a small amount money, and then, and only at that moment take a serious look at network marketing.

NOTE: I'm NOT saying that people without a traditional job should not start a network marketing business. Some of the most doing well networkers I know never had a traditional job, or at least haven't had one for a very long time. But I AM saying that, if you have no job AND no money, the likelihood that your home-based business will be able to succeed is slim.

The same is true for people who are loners. There are people out there who just do NOT like people. They like their computers, their TV sets, their video games. But don't ask them to act together with people.

While these people probably (and hopefully) are not looking to start a business involving networking, you'd be surprised.

There are marketers out there that would tell these people,

"NO PROBLEM. We have a website, you can take advantage of the internet, our products sell themselves."

BULL.

Network marketing in every form is about people, about contacts, about team building, and about building trust.

If you don't like people, you will fail at network marketing.

That much I can assure you.

And what about the people who want to start a home business because they need money in a urgency? Well, unless they are qualified network marketers, there is no way they will have the skills and resources needed to generate profits quickly with a home-based business.

You need to be very honest with these people about their likelihood for achieving their income needs. Because if they do join your opportunity, they will quickly become frustrated and give up. At that time - they will have wasted alot of their own and your time. You always want to look at the long-term potential.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS: Recognize that not each person is a potential customer and let go of the ones who aren't. By focusing your time and attention on those prospects with the mindset, motivation, and money to succeed, your business will, in turn grow stronger.
